In the classroom: Trade debate

Engaging in structured debates is a great way for students in the Master of Global Trade to sharpen their research, critical thinking and presentation skills while addressing some of the biggest topics in trade.

On this occasion, the class broke into teams to argue in agreement or in opposition to topics including the WTO is irrelevant for most companies; the coronavirus demonstrates that the vulnerabilities and risks created by trade and economic integration outweigh the benefits; pursuing greater sustainability is too costly for most companies, so they should just focus on their business.
